What We Will Work On Together
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety
-
People with anxiety often experience distorted or exaggerated thoughts (e.g., “What if something bad happens?” or “I can't handle this.”).
CBT teaches you to recognize these automatic thoughts, evaluate their accuracy, and replace them with more realistic, balanced thoughts.
-
Avoidance keeps anxiety going. CBT uses exposure therapy to gradually and safely confront feared situations.
Over time, your brain learns that these situations are not as dangerous as they seem, reducing the fear response.
Don’t worry! We got at your own pace!
-
Deep breathing or relaxation techniques
Problem-solving skills
Mindfulness or grounding exercises
Behavioral activation (doing activities even if anxiety is present)
-
CBT helps people understand how thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviors all interact in a feedback loopthat sustains anxiety.
Breaking that loop—by changing either the thought or the behavior—can significantly reduce anxiety over time.
You’re tired of living in constant fear and are desiring to learn more about what is causing your body and mind to react the way it does. Help is available and I’d be honored to partner alongside you!
